A Culture of Generosity: $220,000 Raised for Local Causes

During this year’s “Season of Giving”, employees were encouraged to donate to a charity of their choice, and Corvid matched the donation five-to-one. The combined fundraising efforts this year raised a total of $220,732, directly benefiting causes supporting healthcare, veterans, at-risk youth, animal rescue, education, and community development.
Corvid plans to continue the matching program annually and continue partnerships with these important charities.
The following is a list of charities Corvid was proud to support this year:
$46,089 - Foster, Love, Adopt, Repeat
A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located in Mooresville, with a mission to raise awareness, provide support and meet the needs of children in foster care. The resource center provides a welcome bag to all who come through including brand new pajamas, diapers, wipes, bottles, toiletries, clothing, school supplies, toys, comfort items, and anything else that is needed.
$42,090 - Feed NC
Feed NC strives to create connections to food, education, and resources as a catalyst for change. In doing so, they aim to decrease food waste within the community, educate people through ongoing advocacy efforts, and ultimately improve the quality of life for families that are facing financial hardships.
$39,193 - Lake Norman Humane Society
Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome. Lake Norman Humane envisions a community where pets are healthy, in a loving forever home, with the assurance that they can return to these homes should they ever be separated.
$37,500 - Bags of Hope - Lake Norman and Greater Charlotte
Bags of Hope seeks to bring hope to the Lake Norman and greater Charlotte areas by supplying free weekend food provisions to school children who experience food insecurity.
$19,113 - HealthReach Community Clinic
HealthReach Community Clinic, located in Mooresville, NC, is a free clinic that contributes significantly to the health and wellness of our neighbors in need. It is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit charity with IRS 501(c)(3) status, providing health services to the uninsured since 2003. The clinic provides a range of services, from health and wellness education to non-emergency medical care.
$9,450 - Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center
Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center is a fully accredited 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the investigation, prosecution, therapy, and follow-up of reported child sexual assault and abuse in Alexander and Iredell Counties. They pursue this mission through advocacy, intervention, collaboration, and education.
$6,510 - River Soccer Club
River Soccer Club is committed to strengthening its community by empowering individuals through soccer. The club fosters life skills, leadership, and personal growth for players, coaches, and volunteers of all levels within a player-centered environment.
$6,000 - Carpenter’s Shelter
Located in Alexandria, Virginia, Carpenter’s Shelter supports people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to achieve sustainable independence through shelter and housing placement, guidance, education, and advocacy.
$3,240 - Fifth Street Ministries & My Sister’s House
My Sister’s House is a safe place for women and children fleeing domestic violence, sexual violence, and/or human trafficking. They offer bedrooms that keep mothers and children together, common areas to relax, and a kitchen where they can cook meals with food provided by Fifth Street Ministries.
$2,772 - The Christian Mission
The Christian Mission serves as a catalyst for transforming lives in the Mooresville area. They empower people in the community to serve those in need so that they can achieve an improved quality of life. As the hands and feet of Christ, The Christian Mission provides resources, skills, education, and services to individuals and families to alleviate suffering and break the cycle of generational poverty in our area.
$2,250 - NC State Baja Team
The organization at North Carolina State University is committed to empowering students through hands-on engineering education. By designing, building, and competing with a custom Baja vehicle in competitions hosted by SAE International, it fosters innovation, teamwork, and real-world skills while preparing the next generation of engineers to make a meaningful impact.
$1,800 - Free 2 Teach
Free 2 Teach provides free resources to teachers in Madison County and Limestone County’s public-school systems. These resources are available to more than 6,000 classroom teachers and school staff, along with their 75,000+ students, improving the educational experience of our children and strengthening our community’s future workforce.
$1,440 - A Caring Place
A Caring Place is dedicated to being a source of hope and practical help to women facing untimely pregnancies, as well as families in need through an array of no-cost services. Their mission is to continue to reach more expectant mothers and families in our community by supporting them with the resources they need.
$1,320 - Kids to Love
Kids to Love, based in Madison Alabama, has served hundreds of thousands of children living in foster care, putting clothes on their backs, getting Christmas presents under the tree, and giving them scholarships for the next steps of their education. Kids to Love also operates Davidson Farms, a foster home for girls, the Whitaker Cottage Community for girls aging out of foster care, and our own licensed Child Placing Agency.
$1,200 - North Alabama Foster Closet
To provide holistic support and resources for foster, adoptive, and kinship families in Huntsville and surrounding areas who care for vulnerable children for a day, a week, or a lifetime.
$765 - Manna House
Manna House is the food distribution program of the Huntsville Dream Center, a 501(c)(3) public charity. They are volunteers serving our community to meet the needs of those experiencing difficult situations. As a community of many cultures, faiths, economic levels, and educational backgrounds they come together to improve the quality of life for others in our community.
