Corvid Technologies Raises Over $146,000 for Iredell County Charities

Corvid Technologies LLC, completed holiday fundraisers to raise money for 11 mission-driven and nonprofit organizations in Iredell County. Corvid pledged a five-to-one dollar match for every employee donation and a 10-cent donation for every push-up completed in the first two weeks of December. The fundraising totaled $146,464.46 with employees raising $29,030.26 and completing 55,426 pushups. 

“In addition to helping a number of charities, we also want to be good partners in the local communities where we work and live,” said David Robinson, Corvid’s CEO. 

The fundraising initiative is a part of Corvid’s matching donation program, which matches the pro-rata employee donations to a percentage of company profits. Corvid employees had the first two weeks of December to select their receiving charity and make donations.

Donations were made to the following charities: 

$35,214 - Feed NC

Creating connections to food, education and resources as a catalyst for change. The result of our mission is to create healthy, stable families who can meet their needs - and can readily call on outside resources when necessary.

$16,200 - Fifth Street Ministries & My Sister’s House

My Sister’s House is a safe place for women and children fleeing domestic violence, sexual violence, and/or human trafficking. They offer bedrooms that keep mothers and children together, common areas to relax, and a kitchen where they can cook meals with food provided by Fifth Street Ministries. My Sister’s House provides counselors and advocates who work directly with individuals, offer hospital and court advocacy, provide peer support, and case management services. 

$16,128 - The Christian Mission

The Christian Mission serves as a catalyst to transform lives in the Mooresville area. We meet people right where they are and love them as they are. As the hands and feet of Christ, the ‘Mission’ provides resources, skills, education, and services to individuals and families to alleviate suffering and break the cycle of generational poverty in our area.

$15,831 - Hope of Mooresville

Hope of Mooresville provides temporary, safe shelter and support services to homeless women and children in Mooresville. They aspire to offer long-term solutions to homelessness and break the cycle for the next generation of families within our community. “HOMe” provides shelter for approximately six months and requires guests to partner with volunteers in order to set goals, track progress, and ultimately empower guests to become self-sufficient and independent. 75% of residents graduate from the program and transition into permanent housing. 

$14,498 - Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center

Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center is a fully accredited 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, that serves child victims of sexual assault and their non-offending family members in Alexander and Iredell Counties in North Carolina. Their mission is to minimize trauma, promote healing, and enhance investigation and prosecution for child-victims of sexual abuse through advocacy, intervention, collaboration, and education.

$14,400 - Lake Norman Humane Society

Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome. Lake Norman Humane envisions a community where pets are healthy, in a loving forever home with the ability to return to that home should they ever be separated.

$12,600 - Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County

A community-based nonprofit organization with a mission to honor life by providing extraordinary care with compassion, comfort and dignity to our patients, families and community. We provide this care for all eligible patients and families regardless of their ability to pay.

$8,100 - HealthReach Community Clinic

HealthReach Community Clinic, located in Mooresville, NC, is a free clinic that provides health services to make a significant contribution to the health and wellness of our Iredell County, NC neighbors in need. To qualify as a patient you must be at least 18 and under 65 years of age, have a combined household income of less than 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, and have no health insurance. Our medical services include non-emergency acute medical care, care of chronic diseases, and limited specialty care. Additionally, the HealthReach Community Clinic pharmacy provides free non-narcotic prescriptions to registered patients in need. $7,500 - Pharos Parenting

To build positive parenting skills through targeted education, in-home coaching, and supportive intervention programs and services to uninsured since 2003.

$5,544 - Welcome Home Veterans at Richard’s Coffee Shop

Welcome Home Veterans Living Home Military Museum at Richard's Coffee Shop is a living military museum dedicated to honoring America's veterans, active duty personnel, and emergency services personnel. The veterans who visit the shop play a part in the living history through their stories and help find, procure, and institute the artifacts and memorabilia displayed in the museum.

$450 - Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The LLS mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Corvid plans to continue the matching program annually and partner with charities to positively impact the local community.
